Over time, an expert hurler creates what is recognized as a signature roll. The simplest way to find this is to watch what the tosser is wagering on. He’ll almost certainly lay a pass line bet and then also purchase some numbers, like possibly the 4 and ten. He has to place a pass line bet to throw, but the 4 and 10 purchase wager is somewhat strange, so he may have a signature. It would be best if you quickly followed his lead and wager in the same manner he does.
Obviously though, he will throw a seven sooner or later and you can’t leave all of your $$$$$ on the table forever, so you need to have an excellent regression system. The easiest one to employ is to start out at your largest bet, and buy the same 2 numbers the player does. Then, just pull back the numbers by 1 unit following each success until you are at the minimum.
Now let’s say the four hits and you capture $116. Keep the Fifty Eight Dollars (your original wager) on the ten and pull down the four to $38, and ask if you can purchase it for $38 and only pay a $1 vigorish (five per cent of thirty eight dollars is a buck ninety). If the four is rolled once again, you capture seventy six dollars. Keep it at $38 – you can’t pay less than a one dollar juice on a purchase wager and if they keep on letting you purchase the 4 (and 10) for $38 and just pay $1, then keep on wagering.
Soon, if the ten begins appearing you’ll have both the 4 and ten backed down to thirty eight dollars. Keep both wagers on the table unless the player takes his wagers down, or something weird occurs to ruin the shooter’s concentration. By regressing your purchase bets you will constantly have a wager on the carps table during a smokin’ roll, and after the first success, everything else is absolute profit
If you are an expert player yourself, bring your mate or friend with you, and the casino will permit her to manage your bets while you are concentrating on shooting.
